Listen at 8:48am for Robin and Sueann

One of the joys of the Morning Edition show is that I have a chance to chat with Robin Rilette about Classical music! Her show starts at 9am and so a little before, we discuss what she has prepared for us. It's a highlight of my mornings!

Sueann,

Not sure how you are handling the early morning schedule. Always thought of you as a "night person."

I suspect your morning show is taped the day before because you say "for info on school closures, go to our website." We don't have kids in school anymore, but I know many people here in the hinterlands of north Idaho who do not have access to the web. Please mention the closures. Get Bruce B on the stick. He could set up a way for the supers to log in to KWSU with their info (password protected!) so you would only have to read it from your computer monitor.

You and all the rest of your staff keep up the good work. Due to the economy, we cut our support to KUID-TV, but will continue to KWSU and KPBX. (Verne Windham is Elaine's brother.)

Hey Gerry and Elaine! Thanks for listening. I am actually at work at 4am and live until 9am. When I don't have time to announce all the closures or delays I simple direct folks to out website. We realize not everyone is connected so we try to announce the school information as much as possible. I usually announce the info at 19 and 49 past the hour. We are doing our best with the time that we have!

Bruce B is amazing and he could do that, but he would be repeating work! We have schools emailing us already but not all schools contact or use NWPR, they mostly rely on TV.

Bruce B is a cool dude huh?

Thanks for listening!

Just to let you know that Bruce is cool only when the temperature dips below freezing. He was great when I taught with him and we had to negotiate salaries, but now he has gone to the DARK side and become an administrator. Ask his about his creamy, sugary coffee cup and an Apple 2e.
